No doubt Airtel is gaining high market share, but it’s focus is to increase its Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) by focusing on its existing and loyal customers.
The operator has been focused on serving better to its customers who generally opt for higher-priced plans. Hence, recently, Airtel is seen offering higher data and call benefits to its higher-priced plans for its prepaid customers.
Following this trend, Airtel has launched another similar prepaid plan that costs Rs 599 and comes with appealing benefits for various subscribers. The validity of plan is 84 days i.e. almost 3 months.
Along with usual data and call benefits, this Airtel plan also offers life insurance cover worth Rs 4 lakhs. It also offers a lot in terms of data and call benefits.
Subscribers will get unlimited voice calls along with 100 free SMSes and 2GB data per day for the whole validity period under the 3G and 4G networks.
As for the insurance claim with this plan that offers a cover of Rs 4 lakhs, Airtel has tied up with Bharti AXA Life for the insurance benefit. After activating the subscription plan, the subscriber will have to enroll for the plan through an SMS or the Airtel Thanks app.
The insurance will be available to all customers of age 18-54 years. Without requiring any paperwork or medical examination, the certificate of insurance will be delivered instantly. A physical copy of the insurance will also be delivered to the customer’s doorstep on request.
Jio also offers a similar plan but at a much lower price and without any third-party benefits. The plan costs Rs 498 and offers 2GB data per day for 91 days. As with all Jio plans, subscribers get free voice and video calls along with 100 free SMSes per day.
