Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba’s debut film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Sanjay Dutt’s Prassthanam, both were released on the same day, that is, on Friday, 20th of September 2019.
On the first day, no doubt Sunny Deol’s Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas performed much better than the political drama Prassthanam, but now after completing five days, both the films are going hand in hand, which means they are making same collections at the box office.
Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas made an opening with Rs 1.1 to 1.2 crore. The collections increased on weekend and it earned Rs 1.55 crore and Rs 1.85 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. On Monday and Tuesday, the figures again dropped and it made a collection of around Rs 90 lakh and Rs 65 lakh respectively. On Wednesday, it collected around Rs 50 lakh.
The film’s collections are definitely not surprising as the film was greatly criticized by reviewers. Also, Karan Deol’s acting is not much appreciable, while Sahher Bambba shows some hope.
Sanjay Dutt’s Prassthanam is a family-based political drama. The film casts Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Ali Fazal, Manisha Koirala, Chunky Panday, Amyra Dastur and Satyajeet Dubey.
Though the performance of Ali Fazal and Satyajeet Dubey is certainly commendable, the film is not grabbing the audience’s eyes.
Prassthanam made an opening with Rs 75 to 80 lakh. It earned Rs 80 lakh on Saturday. With a bit increase due to weekend, the film made a collection of Rs 1.25 crore on Sunday. On Monday and Tuesday, the figures again dropped and it made a collection of around Rs 90 lakh and Rs 70 lakh respectively. On Wednesday, it collected around Rs 60 lakh.
According to present box office collections, Prassthanam and Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas are going to be a big flops.
