Fans need to rejoice as the coming of age comedy-drama “Never Have I Ever” is all set to return for Season 2, sometime in July. The hilariously honest, sweet-smart comedy was definitely binge-worthy.
The show revolved around an Indian American high school student played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. The comic timing of Maitreyi was amazing and she’ll be remembered for her terrific portrayal of Devi Vishwakumar. The show is created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher and had premiered its first season in April 2020. The details for Season 2 are as follows:
“Never Have I Ever” Season 2 Release Date:
Witnessing the immense love which the show had received, Netflix announced the renewal of the show for Season 2 in July 2020. The Cast of the show including Matreyi shared a post on their social media handles claiming that the show will be returning in July 2021, though the exact date is not announced yet.
“Never Have I Ever” Season 2 Cast:
Besides the original cast of Season 1 who will be reprising their roles in Season 2 as well, Season 2 will also be adding some new faces to its staircase list. One of them is Rapper Common who would play the role of Dr. Chris Jackson, dating Devi’s mother. Common was introduced in one of the posts by Matreyi in a hilarious way where she commented, ” I see we have a COMMON interest indeed” and then Jaren Lewinson welcomed the star saying,” Helloo”
“Never Have I Ever” Season 2 Plot:
In Season 1, we saw Maitreyi playing the role of a high school student who tries to fit in among her American peers while also trying to meet her Indian Parent’s expectations. We also saw her trying to draw the attention of her crush Ben.
Now in Season 2, we may get to see awkward encounters between Ben and Devi as they try to suppress their attraction towards each other as both of them have their other partner as well. In case Devi rejects Paxton, routing for Ben, we may also witness other girls in the school turning hostile towards Devi who already likes Paxton. Anyways, let’s keep on speculating until an official synopsis is released.
