Two years after the release of India’s biggest film Baahubali, the Telugu film industry is back with another magnum opus, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which is hitting the screens today. This highly anticipated film has Mega Star Chiranjeevi in the title role.
After a long political sabbatical, the most beloved Mega Star returned to silver screens in 2017 with the film Khaidi number 150. Sye Raa is his second film in the second innings.

Sye Raa is the story set 30 years before the first war of independence of 1857. It’s the untold story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, one of the very first people who fought for independence. The filming began in late 2017 with Ram Charan as producer under the Konidela Productions banner.
The movie is directed by Surender Reddy who previously gave us super hit movies like Kick and Race Gurram. The film has an ensemble cast of some of the countries greatest actors including the amazing Dada Saheb Phalke award winner Amitabh Bachchan.
The 76-year-old actor who is not going to retire anytime soon is playing a crucial role in Sye Raa. Actors like Kiccha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu and Ravi Kishan are playing important roles in the film. Nayanathara and Tamannah Bhatia are playing the female leads opposite Chiru while his niece Niharika Konidela is playing a crucial role in the film.
Coming to the crew of the film, Bollywood’s noted composer Amit Trivedi is the music director while the film’s dialogues are written by Sai Madhav Burra. The story is by Paruchuri Brothers and the cinematography is helmed by R. Rathnavelu. Anju Modi, Uttara Menon and Chiru’s daughter Sushmitha Konidela worked as costume designers. This is the second production venture of Ram Charan who produced Chiru’s come back film.
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy Movie Review
Chiranjeevi has put up a one man show. The action sequences, Horse riding, war sequences, and everything else, the megastar didn’t leave any stone unturned. This movie will be a treat to watch for Chiranjeevi’s fans and admirers.
The casting is perfect. Seems like there couldn’t have been a better Guru than Amitabh Bachchan. Vijay Sethupathi, Kichcha Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu, Nayanthara, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah do complete justice to their characters.
Julius Packaim’s terrific background score keeps the film on a high throughout. Amit Trivedi’s songs are one of the pillars of this movie. Director Surender Reddy and the crew deserves applause for its technical brilliance. The artwork of the movie seems spotless.
Overall, the film is 171 minutes of legendary storytelling, brilliant storytelling, terrific artwork, and technical brilliance. We didn’t reveal the story because we don’t want to spoil your experience. Don’t miss this movie on the big screen.
